We went to mass in Renmore with the Fullers. Coffee with V at La Vida Pura (Neachtain’s was closed for road works). Then the 7:00 Americana session at Salt House. Great tunes and a change of pace. I sat next to Fergal Scahill who was just off the plane from Canada! He plays with his brother Enda Scahill in a group called “We Banjo 3”. They were over to Cape Breton for the Celtic Colours festival. He gave me his CD which is very good and welcome too as we had no music to listen to in the car. I;ve heard it 30 times by now. Look for them at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival in 2015

Player two gigs today; Winter Fun Fest in promotion of the
upcoming “Flying Canoe Adventures” then off to WEM to play “Frosty the Snowman” and such. It was all great fun but the freezing rain was very bad and made for treacherous driving. 🙁
I am home in Canada. 19 hours of Travel on Nov 7th. The special assistance team in Heathrow were awesome. Saved me from walking around lost on one leg.
Lots of snow in Edmonton when I arrived, but sunny skies. Saw 2 great concerts after arriving; Leon Russell at Festival place. Then Richard Thompson on a double bill with Rodney Crowell & Emmylou Harris.

Will have my last session of this trip tonight in Crusheen, Co. Clare with friends Dave Harper (banjo & flute) and Yuka Sawa (flute). But first a stop in Ennis where John Culliney is hosting a dinner in my honour. The local Irish radio is having a phone in; What about this trend of people wearing their pajamas in public… That’ll do, so.
A lovely last night in Kearney’s. Tony Halsall played some mighty stuff. It was quiet enough so Jackie & I played loads of our tunes. Bouasque is always a show stopper.
